Information about what cookies are and how we use them on our website.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small piece of text that can be stored on your computer, phone or whatever you use to surf the Internet by the websites you visit. The websites you visit use cookies for many reasons, but fundamentally they are used to store information about you to improve your internet experience. You can find out more information about cookies at aboutcookies.org.
What cookies do we use?
Cookie banner
By default, this banner will not use cookies unless you click on an option on it. It will initially create a ‘session based’ cookie (a cookie that will expire when you close your browser) containing a single ‘true’ or ‘false’ value. If you choose ‘yes’ or ‘no’ permanently, it will create a permanent cookie with a ‘true’ or ‘false’ value. This cookie is only used to store your preference for this site. Storing your preference permanently will simply stop you being asked this question (and seeing the banner) each time you visit the site.
YouTube
We use YouTube to run our videos, and then add them to our site in ‘privacy-enhanced mode’. If you play the video, it will add a cookie to your computer. YouTube provides more information about privacy on its website.
